Reinforcing Fabric of Steel (BRC-CQ) is a steel reinforcement material used in concrete, primarily for reinforcing structures such as floors, roads, slabs, etc. The standard size is 6′ x 12′. This type of steel is widely employed to enhance the tensile strength of reinforced concrete. Some contractors also colloquially refer to this steel fabric as wire mesh. A full yield strength lap is recommended for bottom reinforcement, while a half yield strength lap is suggested for top reinforcement in the construction of concrete slabs.
