Description

Mild steel hexagon bolts and nuts are commonly used fasteners in construction, manufacturing, and various other industries. The term “hexagon” refers to the shape of the head of the bolt and the nut, which typically has six sides (hexagonal). These fasteners are often made from mild steel, a low carbon steel known for its strength, durability, and affordability.

Hexagon bolts are threaded fasteners with a hexagonal head on one end and threads on the other. They are used to fasten two or more parts together by passing through aligned holes and securing with a nut on the opposite side. The hexagonal head allows for easy tightening and loosening using a wrench or socket tool.

Hexagon nuts, on the other hand, are internally threaded fasteners with a hexagonal shape. They are designed to be paired with bolts, providing a secure connection when tightened onto the bolt’s threaded end. Nuts come in various types, such as hex nuts (the most common), lock nuts (which include features to prevent loosening), and wing nuts (which can be tightened or loosened by hand).
